Salary:             $80,000.00 base and up, depending on qualifications, plus commission plan

Job Description

To conduct outside sales activities in the Gulf Coast and Golden Triangle Region. This will be a remote position with the applicant based out of the Houston, TX or Lake Charles, LA area. Clientele includes but is not limited to industrial organizations such as oil & gas, specialty chemicals, power generation, food & beverage, and manufacturing. This position is accountable for the sales lifecycle, from lead generation through closing a project. Must be skilled at developing and strengthening client relationships.

Responsibilities

· Generate, qualify, and follow up with leads

· Make sales calls to new and existing customers

· Maintain Salesforce sales funnel and day-to-day updates with clients

· Follow-up with all sales and projects on a regular basis

· Maintain a sales quota with specific sales calls, presentation, and demonstration measurables

· Maintain a sales action plan with a two-month lead time

· Discuss company-offered services, including process automation & controls, electrical         engineering, and E&I services

· Work with department leads to understand operations, needs, and existing clients and projects.

· Develop strategic relationships with corporate accounts

· Work with clients to identify and implement strategies to improve quality of service, productivity, and profitability

· Use existing relationships to develop client referrals

· Attend trade shows and expos within the geographic area

· Actively attend industry-related social networking groups and organizations

· Capture a defined scope of work to generate proposals

· Monitor competition, market conditions, and product development

· Develop client-specific sales presentations

· Provide sales progress reports to management

· Master the art of negotiating

· Master the art of qualifying

· Share our story and culture with all existing and potential clients

Skills

· 5+ years of industrial/electrical sales experience with a preference towards process automation and controls, electrical engineering, and E&I services

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills

· Proven ability in building productive business relationships

· Mechanical aptitude is preferred

Requirements

  • 5 + years of experience
  • 50-75% of travel required
  • Stable work history
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the US. Sponsorship is not available
  • Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screening
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must have reliable means of transportation
  • Must be able to comply with customer site requirements for access/entry

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly
  • See, respond, and report to dangerous situations
  • Operating and driving a vehicle for extended periods of time on possible rough terrain
  • Bending, walking, climbing, kneeling, sitting, and standing for extended periods
  • Ability to work in inclement weather and/or extreme weather-related conditions
  • Required to wear PPE/Safety gear at specific times
  • Ability to wear an N-95 mask when required
